“We at FamiliFirst are so pleased to share that the web posting of OJJDP’s Model Program’s Guide for Family Centered
Treatment has occurred,” said FamiliFirst president and board chairman William E. Painter, Jr. “This landmark designation
will pave the way for continued evidence-based evaluation of the FCT model, and will help us to get this treatment
methodology out to even more families that can benefit from it.”
FCT is a practice and evidence-based model of treatment designed for use in the provision of intensive in-home services.
FCT’s origins derive from practitioner’s efforts to find simple, practical, and common-sense solutions for families faced
with the forced removal of their children from the home or dissolution of the family due to both external and internal
stressors and circumstances. FCT was developed by Institute for Family Centered Services (IFCS) with rights owned by
FamiliFirst. A brief description of FCT is available here.
